happy with the painting started today. It’s the BSA on a purple gray background. I want to do short paintings 1,2 or three days. I got a good start. I started with oiled charcoal. Vine charcoal that’s been soaked in oil. I love drawing with it and I sharpen it with a pencil sharpener. I’m also thinking a lot about paint quality, is it runny shiny matt. Medium versus thinner. I’ve been taking an online class about the abstract expressionists from MOMA. I’m getting more out of it than I anticipated.
