I made a big discovery what the problem has been this whole time. My problem has been the ink. The edging is too stiff or too sticky and it doesn’t wipe off. I have seen people use etching and also oil paint. I tried it with oil paint but I didn’t have success with that either. I’ve been using what I use for painting and it didn’t work so I went back to the etching ink. I had tried litho ink I have an I didn’t work. then on a hunch I tried Utrecht and it was great. it prints a little light and I mix it half-and-half with etching ink. That seems to be working OK.
