Relive 'Bridge plus Pavel’s run on his birthday'
A special run to commemorate my brother on the first birthday he is not here to celebrate.
Great day today
I rejoined the Whitney
and saw some great shows.
Im not a huge Laura Owen's fan but I like the way she works and thinks about life and art
there's a couple friends the show made me think of, there's alot there about painting and image making
very like David Hockney. Though her actual use of paint doesn't appeal to me.
The collection at the Whitney is so great
it was good to see the old favorites
I keep getting knocked out by early Alex Katz paintings. The thing that gets me is the absolute looseness and dead on accuracy. I want that.
Yesterday was good!
I saw a posting on facebook that lead
Dave and I to volunteering
to help distribute hot lunches and holiday gifts for
the North Brooklyn Angels .
It felt great to lend a hand in our own neighborhood.
We're excited to help out some more.
Then back to painting
It's been fun working with Bernard's bike,
I had asked to paint it when he brought it to Dave to have work done.
we hadn't set a date for him to pick it up
I had assumed that it would be in the studio through New Years.
So it was a big surprise when he called to say he was on his way.
I am racing the clock! (B is could come get his bike any minute!)

I've been running for fitness. The regular run is across the bridge and back.
I do it a few times a week, it's 3 miles and takes about half an hour.
I love using Strava so I can see how much I've improved since I started
and it motivates me to run consistantly and work on my pace. I like collecting my data.
This last week the GPS has gone berserk. On the 19th and 20th it started recording halfway through
on the 22nd, it didn't record any movement at all
then this morning it had me doing this amazing totally unbeliveable run.
Hope next week I'm back to being me!
